Later that year, it released a pair of EPs and went on its first nationwide tour. After changing its name to Green Day, the band released its debut full-length album, 39/Smooth, in April 1990. Bassist Hughes left before the band signed with Lookout! Records and released its debut EP 1,000 Hours in 1989.
